Labyrinths of Pain

About the Release

Labyrinths of Pain takes Mother Augusta on a journey that does not lead out of darkness, but towards another level below. The band’s third full-length comprises six songs and develops the introspective language of its predecessors through more complex songwriting. A deliberately decadent and oppressive pace frames reflections, memories and suffering viewed through a more mature and cynical lens. The sequence from Deep, Dark, Silent through Outsider, Wrong Choices and Other Worlds to Years Of Dust On A Broken Clock and the closing title track outlines the album’s terrain without offering a simple resolution. Labyrinths of Pain remains rooted in Mother Augusta’s urban darkness, bringing black metal and depressive-rock atmosphere together as a coherent album. Labyrinths of Pain will be released on CD and digitally through Talheim Records on 7 November 2026 under catalogue number TR087CD. Further edition details are still to be announced.
