About Ellende
Ellende is an atmospheric and post-black-metal project founded by L.G. in Graz in 2011. Its name refers to an older meaning of the German word “Ellende”: distance, foreignness or exile. Music, lyrics and visual art are developed as one body of work, placing acoustic passages, strings and piano beside dense and dynamic black-metal compositions.
The early cooperation with Talheim Records comprises the self-titled debut from 2013, the 2014 EP Weltennacht and the second album Todbringer from 2016. Together they trace a clear development from the first full-length through a concentrated vinyl EP to Todbringer, whose music and artwork by L.G. were conceived for an elaborate circular digipak.
Ellende have released through AOP Records since 2018. This page therefore documents only the earlier Talheim period and connects its three releases with verified formats, tracklists and catalogue data. Current information is available from the band’s official website.
