Heimdalls Wacht have released “Runes to Heal – Weapons to Cure”, the second single from their new concept album “Sphärenschänder – Echoes Of An Old Belief Part I”. The official lyric video has been available on the Talheim Records YouTube channel since 14 October 2026.

Between destruction and healing
“Runes to Heal – Weapons to Cure” moves between physical and spiritual experience. Its runes function both as signs of healing and as instruments against estrangement. The song therefore returns to the central questions of the album concept: what awakens from the darkness, which memories remain, and what is left of the world Heimdall once guarded?
Musically, the band remains rooted in raw, melancholic and melodic black metal. Folk and doom influences meet traditional melodic metal elements, while traces of thrash and death metal add further weight. These currents converge in an emotionally charged continuation of the album’s unfolding narrative.
Line-up and production
Heimdalls Wacht are Sarolf (vocals), Wiborg (vocals), Saruman (vocals, guitar, bass and keyboards), Teja (guitar) and Winterheart (drums). Saruman wrote the concept, music and lyrics. Teja and Saruman made the pre-recordings; Mario at LIQUID AETHER Studio and Saruman handled recording, mixing, mastering and production. Mathias R. produced the lyric video for Talheim Records.
“Sphärenschänder – Echoes Of An Old Belief Part I” will be released through Talheim Records. The release date and details of the vinyl edition are still to be announced.
