About Karg
Karg is an Austrian atmospheric and post-black-metal project from the Salzburg region. Founded in 2006 by Michael V. Wahntraum, it developed into a deeply personal body of work that joins black metal, post-rock and emotionally compressed songwriting, often shaped by Austrian dialect.
Apathie arrived in 2012 as the third album. Its seven tracks combine long arcs of tension with sudden eruptions and document an early period in which Karg pushed beyond conventional atmospheric black metal. Malstrom followed in 2014 with six extended compositions; its historical vinyl edition was produced through a cooperation of underground partners that included Talheim Records.
This Talheim profile documents those early physical editions within their original catalogue context. Current releases and band information remain available through Karg’s official channels, while the Apathie and Malstrom pages identify editions, tracklists and sources for the documented physical releases.
