Apathie

About the Release

With Apathie, Karg condensed the project’s early language into a seven-track album in 2012. The record does not chase short effects; it develops through long movements in which quiet, almost weightless guitar passages can turn into dense distortion and violent eruptions, held together by recurring motifs. Titles such as Von Gelebter Ekstase & Wüster Raserei, (Im)Puls and Briefe Ans Gestern establish the personal frame. Memory, loss of control and emotional exhaustion recur without being forced into a linear narrative, leaving atmosphere and dynamics to carry much of the interpretation. The vinyl edition documented here belongs to a historical underground cooperation. Limited to 500 copies, it was issued with a printed inner sleeve. This page distinguishes that physical edition from later phases of the band’s discography and brings its format, tracklist and sources together in one place.
