Melena

About the Release

“Melena” is an album by Lucynine from Italy. The release places Lucynine within Post-Black Metal / Post-Hardcore / Avant-Garde Metal and appeared in the Talheim Records Germany catalogue on 1 January 2025. Sergio Bertani wrote, performed and produced “Melena” alone in his Turin studio. Created spontaneously during an acute personal crisis, the album uses Italian throughout for the first time, while its deliberately claustrophobic production compresses voice and instruments to the limit. The tracklist contains 5 tracks with a documented total running time of 32:31. It opens with “Uomo in mare” and closes with “Opera al nero”. The sequence centres on “Melena”. “Opera al nero” occupies the most space at 15:01. The documented credits name Lucynine / Sergio Bertani (Music and lyrics), Sergio Bertani (Artwork and photography) and Talheim Records Germany (Production). The catalogue lists the release as CD under TRG012CD.
